Next Event: Wood Fest

We are looking forward to our last big event of the season – Wood Fest. This is a new event for us and we are very excited!

Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October.

Event runs from 10am - 5pm.

Visitors can enjoy many different demonstrations including horse logging, charcoal making, a blacksmith, vintage steam engines, pole lathe turning, hazel wood flowers and much more! Also, we have craft stalls, live music, great local produce. a variety of refreshment stands and a beer tent.

The Surrey and Sussex Coppice workers will be demonstrating their skills and there will be opportunities to buy a great range of wood products.

Children can enjoy story time in the roundhouse or even take part in Joe’s Bows Falconry display. You will also have the opportunity to pick your own apples from our orchard. 

We have a great range of Bush Craft demonstrations taking place over the weekend, learn about the variety of methods used to make a flame and how to safely use a Bushcraft knife to carve a tent peg. There will also be a collection of short demonstrations using natural materials to produce a variety of artworks from nature including Christmas tree decorations using acorn cups and autumnal leaf tea light holders. As well as several cookery demonstrations. Visit Phil & Kitty at the Badger Bushcraft stand in the woodland walk area. 

Dogs are very welcome at Wood Fest. However, please ensure that your dog is kept on a lead at all times. As this is an outdoor event come rain or shine, please wear suitable clothing and footwear.  

£10.00 per person, children under 12 free.

Please note we have no credit card facilities at the main gate - cash only.
